Originally designed in 1888 by a local trader named Ioannidis,after he returned extremely wealthy from Egypt, Stathopoulou Mansion is one of the top 25 villa-hideaways of the world that have all the comforts of a hotel according to Conde Nast Traveller Magazine.
The mansion was purchased in 1986, by the engineer Kostas Stathopoulos, who restored it in to a unique luxury boutique hotel.A finely located property with a pool, filled with spring water with amazing views both to Saint George village and to the sea of Pagasitikos gulf. According to a legend deep down in the garden well there is a hidden treasure and many have tried to discover by descending down into the well or by using different machinery.The mansion has been renovated to high specifications and offers comfort, space and location to those wanting a more luxurious option than the pretty classic island vacations.

architecture with modern facilities, the mansion features everythig you need.

Housed in a 19-century neoclassical mansion, in Agios Georgios Nilias of Pelion, Arhontiko Stathopoulou features a seasonal pool, a blossomed courtyard and a sun terrace with panoramic views over Pagasitikos Gulf. It has an elegantly decorated breakfast room with fireplace, and offers free Wi-Fi throughout.

Arhontiko Stathopoulou is fitted with painted or beamed ceilings, stone walls and traditional decorative items. This villa is also equipped with a minibar, a kitchen and a private bathroom with hairdryer and slippers. A spacious seating area fitted with a satellite, flat-screen TV is also available. Some bathrooms also have a hydromassage shower cabin.

Guests can start their day with a continental breakfast served daily at the dining area by the fireplace. Coffees and light meals can also be enjoyed at the on-site bar or at the furnished terrace.

Volos City is 20 km from the property, while Nea Aghialos National Airport is 59 km away. The scenic village of Milies is 9 km away and the seaside Afissos is at a distance of 19 km. Free public parking is possible nearby.
